AEEDCを参加することで得た感動とは裏腹に
日本が歯科医療の分野で
世界の最先端を行っているわけではないことに痛感し
ショックを隠しきれませんでした。
However, despite the excitement I gained from attending the AEEDC, I could not hide my shock at the realization that Japan is not at the cutting edge of the world in the field of dentistry.

私たちはもっと視野を世界に向け、世界中の先進的な知識や技術に触れ、
世界中の先生から学ぶ機会を持つ必要があります。
We need to turn our vision more toward the world and have opportunities to be exposed to advanced knowledge and technology from around the world and to learn from teachers from around the world.

さもなければ、日本と世界の差は更に広がり
「日本の歯科治療は10年以上遅れている」というレッテルを取り払うことができません。
Otherwise, the gap between Japan and the rest of the world will widen further and the label "Japanese dentistry is more than 10 years behind" will never be removed.

そして、有力な若手歯科医師が、
どんどん世界へと流れてしまうという最悪な事態を招くかもしれないのです。
And the worst thing that could happen is that more and more promising young dentists would drift away to the rest of the world.

しかし、毎日忙しい日常の中で、
海外の国際歯科大会に足を運ぶことは決して容易ではありません。
However, it is never easy to travel to international dental conventions abroad in the midst of our busy daily lives.

もちろん英語ですので、
英語が苦手な先生にもご理解いただけるように
リアルタイムでの逐次通訳ありでの開催になります。
Of course, the session will be held in English, with real-time consecutive interpretation so that teachers who are not good at English can understand.

逐次通訳は、AEEDCでも実際に行われていますが
英語が苦手な先生にも、大変好評でした。
